Infrastructure and Logistics

Assets and Communications

The Infrastructure and Logistics section is resonsible for the maintenace, contruction and updating of the vehicles, buildings, assets and telecommunications items used by the CFS.

The section is divided into 4 key areas:

  • Fleet Services
  • Vehicles and Equipment
  • Asset Services
  • Telecommunications

The managers of these areas report to the manager of Strategic Services.

Fleet Services

The Fleet Services section maintains vehicles from the Government State Fleet for Staff and Groups. These vehicles include Staff cars and 4wd's, Group Operations 4wd's and Logistics vehicles.

Vehicles and Equipment

The Vehicles and Equipment section deal with operational appliances and the equipment they carry to deal with Incidents.

Asset Services



The Telecommunications section maintains and upgrades the Operational radio, telephone and telemetry equipment used by CFS members. This equipment can be found in appliances, stations and group bases, as well as radio transmitting towers and Incident Control Centres
