Specialist Hazadardous Materials Support appliance

206, based at Headquarters Station

It is always deployed to provide additional equipment and personnel already involved in an incident from the local resources, as any incident involving hazardous material is time consuming and complex.

The equipment carried on this appliance includes some sophisticated sensing instruments, which are taken into an suspect area using protective suits. This enables the operator to access the contamination, and to determine the safest way of dealing with the problem
