2090 Communications, based at Headquarters Station

These appliances are utilised for Communications Field Work and Incident Command. They provide a means of allowing strategic positions to be set up near the incident, to facilitate a communications area between the base stations and control centres to the incident or fireground.

The type number for this appliance is '90', with a '92' if more than one of the same appliance is in the same Station.

Specifications

Each Communications appliance carries a basic set of equipment, which can include:

  • GRN radio
  • GRN handheld radio
  • VHF and/or UHF hand held radio
  • Assorted Extinguishers
  • Safety vests
  • Traffic Cones

Additional equipment may be carried on the Communications appliance. This equipment may include:
