A 14 appliance (pronounced as 'one - four appliance'), also called a ROSA (Regional Operations Support Appliance) carries approximately 1000 litres of water, and is a 4 wheel drive capable vehicle. This type of 14 appliance is generally suited for all terrain combating grass, scrub and bushfires.

The type number for this appliance is '14'.
