A Command vehicle is used at incidents to provide a Control and Command point for the Officer in Charge, Sector Commander or Strike Team Leader.

Generally, command vehicles are 4 wheel drive, and do not carry any water for firefighting, although there are some command vehicles that carry small amounts of water for firefighting purposes.
