Rapid Intervention Equipment
It is intended to be a primary way of gaining entry to a vehicle where a simple door removal, will facilitate medical retreival of a casualty, or to remove a device from a limb in a industrial accident situation. Intervention equipment is designed to be a lightweight, first aid way of extricating a casualty from a crash scene. It will usually be a lightweight set of hydraulic
rams with combined cutter and spreader tips.
