"Operation Easter Brake" was run at the Heathfield High School on 11th April 2006, with students from Heathfield High School, Oakbank area school & Mt Barker Vocational College.

Operation Easter Brake is part of a road saftey campaign by local emergency services, aimed at showing teenagers what can happen at a serious road crash - and how it can impact on them.

Operation Easter Brake involves a simulated road crash, in which one person was killed, two seriously injured, and one person with minor injuries. The Operation involves paramedics from SA Ambulance treating the injured, CFS crews from the Stirling CFS having to cut the car apart to access the casualties, to the attendace of local police, officers from the SAPol Major Crash Investigation Section, and Kleemans - the local undertakers.

The simulated road crash rescue is followed by a simulated court case, involving the offending driver.

Photographs from Operation Easter Brake will be posted to this site soon.
