Submitted On Wednesday, July 8, 2015
Submitted By Pip

Mt Barker has taken delivery of two appliances

The new Barker Pumper and Barker Rescue have both come from the Metropolitan Fire Service, and are painted red, rather than the normal CFS white.

Both are based on a Scania chassis, are 4x2, and carry 1500 litres of water.

Built by Lowes, New Zealand, they have a PTO / Darley pump

Both appliances have a heavy pumping capacity.

The appliances replace the existing Isuzu FTR900 based Mt Barker Rescue and Isuzu based Barker 34P, which will be sent to other brigades.
