State Cadet Championships - Event Four

Event Four of the State Cadet Championships was Suction and Attack Line. Cadets had to run out a length of hose and get water flowing and hit a target. Crews had to then add a second length of hose and hit another target. However, the pump operator had a bit more to do on this one - initially, water was being taken from the tank of the appliance. However, once the second length of hose was added, the pump operator had to change over the supply from the tank to an external static supply - which in this case was a floating collar dam (or porta dam) - without the crew on the hose losing pressure. Results: 1st Place - Team Pumped Up! - Region 1 - composite team from Region 1 and 5, with members from Sturt Group, Seaford, Bridgewater, Blackwood, Naracoorte and Compton 2nd Place - Team Flaming Cheetos - Region 4 - including cadets from Gladstone, Stirling North and Wilmington 3rd Place - Team Hot Eyre - Region 6 - Lincoln CFS This is one of the teams in the event
