State Cadet Championships - Event One

Event one of the State Cadet Championships was 2 lines, 2 lengths.

Cadets had to bowl (or otherwise deploy) two hoses, with each hose needing two lengths, connect the two hoses to the truck, get water flowing and knock over two targets - one with each hose.

For those not used to firefighting terminology, cadets had to unroll (bowl) a total of 4 hoses (each one called a length which is 30 metres long).

Cadets had to connect two hoses together, get them connected to the appliance, run the pump, get water flowing through the two connected hoses, and knock over a target.

With six cadets in each team, one was the crew leader, one was responsible for running the pump, and two teams of two responsible for the hoses.

Results:

1st Place - Team Eyre - Region 6 - Lincoln CFS

2nd Place - Team Flaming Cheetos - Region 4 - including cadets from Gladstone, Stirling North and Wilmington

3rd Place - Team Rising Force - Region 2 - including cadets from Lyndoch, Tanunda, One Tree Hill, Tea Tree Gully, Yorketown and Two Wells

This is one of the teams at the beginning of the event
