Refurbished 44 for South Hummocks

South Hummocks took delivery of a refurbished 44 today. The new South Hummocks 44 is based on a 2018 Isuzu FTS 139-240 crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 4000 litres of water. Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz F3L2011W motor / Darley 2.5 AGE pump. It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system. It comes fitted with an Engel fridge and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw. It was previously based at the Virginia. It replaces the existing 23 year old Isuzu based South Hummocks 34, which will be sent to another brigade. Thanks Andrew Stewart for the photo.
