Tonight, Carey Gully CFS celebrated 70 years of service to the community with a dinner at the fire station.

Father Christmas arrived on the fire truck, with present for the youngest guests.

Then it was onto the history of the brigade - attendees heard about the formation of the brigade - including from one of the founding members of the brigade.

CFS Chief Brett Laughlin presented a 70 year plaque to brigade Captain Brad Slade.

Congratulations Carey Gully CFS on your milestone.
