New Station for Iron Knob

Iron Knob moved into a new station this week.

The new station, built adjacent to the Whyalla SES, at Keith St Whyalla, includes a new vehicle bay to house the brigades 34 appliance.

The brigade was previously on the site, having moved from Iron Knob township, however in 2017, a new 34 appliance replaced the much smaller QRV, the building could not fit the new larger appliance, and the brigade moved to another building at McBryde Tce Whyalla.

With the completion of the new vehicle Bay, the brigade has moved back to the Keith St building, with the appliance now having a home in the new vehicle bay, and the the adjoining building the brigade station facilities.
