Macclesfield CFS celebrates 80 years

The Macclesfield CFS celebrated 80 years service to the community, with a community picnic at Macclesfield in December. Crews from across the Heysen Group, and members of the local community joined in the celebrations. Group Officers, brigade Captains, and other nominated members joined in a hose drill competition, which required them to get dressed in their PPC, fill a container using a knap sack, bowl out and connect a hose. The day was a warm one, so the kids (and some not so little kids!) had the opportunity to play with lots of water from knapsacks & fire appliances!! The cake was cut by the long serving Maccy member, Mario Farazzo. (Belated) congratulations Maccy CFS on your 80 years of service to your community.
