Change in Coordinator, website updates

More changes came in 2000, with Pip retiring as the Coordinator of the Promotions Unit and stepping down from the Pantech side of the Unit - and concentrating on the photography and website part of the CFS Promotions Unit, along with Ashley.

Chris and Paquita took over as the Coordinators of the Pantech, which continued attending events.

The CFS Promotions Unit website continued with more data and more photos being added by Nick, who continued to run the back end of the website.

The original website had been running for three years, however older programming, and a lack of available space meant the site was showing its age.

Following discussions between Nick, Pip and Ashley, and new revamped website was launched in February 2001.

The new site included:
News page
Information about what CFS does (eg RCR, bushfires etc)
Information about the appliances we have and the equipment we carry
the ERGUIDE - information on every brigade in the state - CFS, MFS, National Parks,
Forestry and Industrial brigades

In addition to the website, the Promotions Unit continued with four email lists - General, Promotions, Women of CFS and Cadets. The lists aim to send out information that is meant to go to members, but for a variety of reasons, took too long to reach them, or doesn’t get there at all.

The information sent out included Board Outcomes newsletters, OH & S newsletters, VFBA updates etc.

This led to newsletters and publications from HQ, which worked to disseminate this information.
