New 44 for Western Districts

Western Districts, on Kangaroo Island, took delivery of a new 44 tonight. The new Western Districts 44 is based on a 2021 Isuzu FTS 139-260 chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 4000 of water. Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz F3L2011 motor / Darley 2.5 AGE pump. It comes fitted with an LED light bar and Engel fridge, and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw. It replaces the existing 23 year old Isuzu based Western Districts 24, which will be sent to salvage.
