CFS crews to deployed to assist NSW firefighters

The first of the CFS firefighters have left South Australia, with their applinces, to travel to NSW, to assist their NSW counterparts, who have been battling bushfires since July. A convoy of CFS appliances left Littlehampton at 7 am on Saturday 2nd November. Further crews will fly to Sydney on Sunday 3rd November.

Brigades across CFS Regions 1 and 2 have supplied appliances. They include Basket Range, Bridgewater, Dalkeith, Morphett Vale, Littlehampton, Gumeracha, Williamstown, Salisbury, Lenswood/Forest Range, Kersbrook, Mt Lofty Group, Region 2 Operations and command vehicles from Para Group, Wakefield Plains Group, Mawson Group and Heysen Group

Crews in this deployment are expected to return on Thursday.
