Small Volume Pumper

A Light Pumper appliance, carries approximately 2000 to 3000 litres of water and can be either a two or a four wheel drive vehicle. It has a Pumping capacity between 1892 lpm (500 gpm) to 2838 lpm (750 gpm)

A Light Pumper appliance is suitable for flat or undulating terrain conditions, such as built up suburban areas and for combating structure fires as well as grass, scrub and bushfires. A Light Pumper appliance can also used at Hazardous Materials spills and Road Crashes to provide Equipment and Water.

The majority of the appliances within this category are the new 24P and 34P type appliances, so this definition is rarely used within the CFS to describe appliances.
