Situation Unit
Using the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS)

The Situation Unit collects all the information about the current situation, through Situation Reports (SitReps) received from Division and Sector Commanders, Air Observers, Ground observers and by the Bureau of Meteorology.

The Situation Unit then produces maps, through the DEH Mapping Support Team, Situation Reports and Incident Predictions. They will also identify alternate stratagies and the risks and likely outcomes associated with each one.
