Open day Sunday 16th - to help fire victims

In light of Tuesdays devastating bushfire on the Eyre Peninsula, the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service is holding an Open Day at the Adelaide Fire Station on Wakefield St, city from 11.00am to 4.00pm, this Sunday, 16 January 2005.

There will be emergency service displays and demonstrations from the SAMFS, CFS, SES, SA Ambulance Service, Police, and Aviation Fire and Rescue; a BBQ; refreshments; sporting competitions; face painting and fun for the children.

A minute of silence will be observed at 12.00.

Entry is a gold coin donation, and all money raised will go to the Salvation Army to help those in need.

Please come along and support your emergency services, to further assist those in need
