To celebrate 20 years of operation in its various forms, the Team would like to extend an invitation to all the builders, operators, assistants and helpers of the Unit to a lunch affair at the Hazelwood Park, near Burnside on Saturday the 20th of September.

The unit was officially opened at 11am on Sunday August 28th 1994 by the then Minister for Emergency Services, The Hon Wayne Matthew MP, the then Chief Officer, Mr Allan Ferris, AFSM and then President of the SA Volunteer Fire Brigades Association, Mr Brian Wilson. Approximately 60 people attended the opening including the entire CFS Board, VFBA Executive, CFS volunteers and staff, as well as families and friends of the volunteers who built the unit.

The CFS Promotions Unit Pantech then made its first outing to the Adelaide Royal Show before heading off to Waikerie for the next event.

It will be a BYO everything affair for lunch with a get together after till around 4 when the Burnside CFS will be holding an open day for the public.

A collection of pictures and memorabilia will be available on the day along with Nick, the founder and creator of the CFS Promotions Unit, and others who participated to get the Pantech up and running.

It would be appreciated if we could know numbers on the day so please RSVP to us before the 16th of September so we can work out logistics of the Park.
