Forty Five Flaming years - Book Launch

Members of the CFS (past & present) and interested members of the public are invited to the launch of

Forty Five Flaming Years - a reflection of on my involvement with the SA Volunteer Fire brigade for the past 46 years, 1960 - 2006, written by Rex Hall, AFSM.

There will be three official launches - each held at a location of significance for Rex.


The launches will be held at:

One Tree Hill CFS Station, where Rex started his involvement with South Australia's volunteer fire services

Black Top Road, One Tree Hill

Sunday 27 May 2007 at 2pm

The book will be officially launched by Euan Ferguson, AFSM, Chief Officer of the SA Country Fire Service. There will be a display of modern CFS equipment

Finger-food and light refreshments to follow



The second launch will be held on

Saturday 2 June 2007, 2pm, at the Willalooka Hall

Riddoch Highway, Willalooka

The book will be officially launched at Willalooka - where Rex spent many years in the brigade, including time as Captain - by Assistant Chief Officer, SA Country Fire Service, Rob Sandford

Finger-food and light refreshments to follow


The third launch will held at the Cartwright Pavilion Naracoorte Show Ground

Sunday 3 June 2007, at 2pm.


The book will be officially launched by the Deputy Chief Officer, SA Country Fire Service, Andrew Lawson

There will be a display and demonstration of Heritage Fire Equipment
