With recent fire events, the State Operations & Support brigade has had many enquiries about joining. They will be holding an information session for interested members of the public on Monday 20th January 2020, 6.30 pm at their station - 50 George St Thebarton, to detail what the brigade does, and the joining process. Please note, his brigade is not an active firefighting brigade. It undertakes a range of behind the scenes functions, including radio communications, bushfire hotline operators, and several logistics functions.
