This is one of our early appliances, a 1963 Bedford open cab with saddle mounted water tanks. This vehicle was later rebuilt into a fully enclosed cabin with a centrally mounted water tank.
Our old station showing US12 and US32 in the truck bays. This station was dismantled and replaced by our new station in November 1991. This area now contains our carpark and a small training area.
At the opening of our new station on 17 November 1991, our previous Captain and Life Member Don Slater cuts the ribbon across the truck bays.
A view of the new station taken from the former station site. This building was relocated after the closure of the Mount George CFS Brigade. A large proportion of the dismantling and rebuilding was carried out by brigade members.
Brigade members, cadets, auxiliary and members of the local community at the official opening of the new station. This information has been sourced from the Brigade website at this address Brigade Stations
