Submitted On Sunday, September 27, 2009

Roseworthy CFS has started on a project to restore its first fire appliance.

A 1942 Chevrolet Blitz, registration 507986, arrived at newly formed Roseworthy CFS in 1979, having previously been at the nearby Mudla Wirra CFS.

The appliance was fitted with a Wisconsin AENLD 10hp motor / Rex 10mp pump.

The appliance was sold in 1984.

It was located in a paddock near Warooka on the Yorke Peninsula, and recently retrieved, and taken to Roseworthy, to commence a restoration.
